Advanced DBT Skills

The modules of this group include: emotion regulation, interpersonal effectiveness, distress tolerance, and mindfulness. Participants will learn to increase their ability to manage intense emotions, reduce vulnerability, build emotional resilience, advance communication skills to assert their needs, set boundaries, build/maintain relationships, end destructive relationships. Participants will also learn advanced coping strategies for handling challenging situations and emotions, reducing impulsive reactions, and promoting better decision making. Participants will deepen their mindfulness skills by walking the middle path, balancing Doing Mind an Being Mind, and practicing loving kindness.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)

Each group is structured after Marsha Linehan’s Dialectical Behavioral Therapy treatment. Individuals who participate in DBT groups must also participate in individual therapy. Each group consists of four modules, including Mindfulness, Distress Tolerance, Emotion Regulation, and Interpersonal Effectiveness skills. Each module lasts six to eight weeks and individuals are asked to commit to treatment one module at a time. These groups aim to support individuals who experience emotion dysregulation and lack effective coping skills.

Weekly In-Person Exposure Group

This group offers exposure for OCD, panic disorder, phobias, and social anxiety disorder. Participants will receive dedicated time for exposure practice with experienced ERP therapists in supportive environment. Insurance accepted: BCBS PPO, Aetna PPO, Medicare, UHC/Optum, Tricare. Self-pay and sliding scale available.
