I am Chris Farley, though not the former Saturday Night Live comedian famous for saying you could end up "living in a van down by the river." I still think I'm funny, but I'm actually a therapist trained in Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) with 20+ years of experience working with adults, teens & families. In recent years, I have begun focusing more on using gaming and nerd culture to connect with and help clients feel accepted, developing Dungeons & Dragons Social Skills/Therapy Groups for adults and teens. If you are interested in learning more about how gaming can be used in therapy, give me a call or shoot me an email.
My individual therapy specialty is a type of cognitive treatment called REBT. What's that? I help people change the way they think, so that they feel better and make healthier choices in their lives. My goal is to help you learn and use skills to better manage negative emotions. I believe in therapy that is powerful and effective, with a side of humor.
Currently I'm running Dungeons & Dragons (D&D) treatment groups aimed at helping clients become confident, creative and more socially adept. My adult D&D group meets on Thursday afternoons from 1-2:30 PM. My group for teens is on Fridays from 3:30-5:15 PM and has limited availability. Both groups are virtual. See details below or contact me to learn more.

After School Adolescent Dungeons & Dragons Group

Gaming is being used more and more throughout the United States and worldwide to help get teens interested in and willing to participate in therapy. With COVID having such a negative impact on the socialization opportunities for all of us, many teens (and adults) have struggled to build and maintain social skills. My hope is to use this interesting and exciting supplement to group therapy as a way to help teens build social skills, make better connections with peers, learn teamwork and have fun! Group has openings for the fall and meets on Fridays from 3:30-5:15 PM

Professional Connections

I have known Chris since we were teenagers. He has and continues to be one of the most supportive people in my life and often has a point of view that I find helpful when I am faced with life's curve balls. Were I to need a therapist, I would choose Chris.

Chris is an excellent therapist for child or adult. He uses his years of experience and primarily a CBT approach combined with humor. This approach has brought him success in working with people of any age to assist them in improving the quality and satisfaction of their life. I would recommend him to anyone!
