Adult Children of Alcoholics/Immature Parents

The group provides a supportive, structured environment for adults who grew up in families affected by alcoholism and addiction. Many adult children of alcoholics experienced, over-responsibility for other, difficulty with boundaries, people-pleasing, care-taking behaviors, trouble trusting, relaxing, feeling “not enough” and repeating unhealthy relationship patterns. This group offers educations, coping skills, emotional insight, and a safe place for connection and healing. In this group we will explore ACOA traits and emotional patterns, reduce guilt, shame and self blame, build healthier communication and boundaries, learn grounding, regulation skills, strengthen self-compassion, self awareness, and connect with others who understand.
