Adult Children of Addicts Group Therapy

This group focuses on recognizing the challenges that adult children of addicts (i.e., ACOAs) have undergone and identifying effective ways to cope with other family members' addiction problems. The treatment includes 10 weekly group sessions. Two additional sessions (a pre-session-before the start of the group sessions and a post-session-after completion of all 10 weekly group sessions) will be conducted with each client, and they will be facilitated by his or her counselor. These two sessions are mandatory in order to identify and to assess client's needs properly before and after completion of all sessions.
