Adolescent loss due to addiction

As soon as parents learn their child is addicted to drugs, grief starts. The hopes and dreams of a healthy family have changed to chaos and survival, affecting the entire family. The 6 week session addresses the challenges the family faced throughout the addiction and now the intense emotions of grief.Death to addiction is referred to a disenfranchised grief because of the stigma associated with addiction. Each week addresses a different challenge faced. Guest speakers will share their personal experiences, providing hope and encouragement to parents.This is a safe place without judgement to talk about their child.
