Family Support with Psychosis or Schizophrenia

I have worked with families that include psychotic, bipolar, or schizophrenia for more than forty years. I have created an organization, Gnosis Retreat Center, that is explicitly devoted to helping families with this issue. In my private practice I have always worked with clients who suffer from schizophrenia, both in individual therapy and with their families. My training with R. D. Laing in London in the 1970s was instrumental in developing a comfort level with this problem that makes it easy for me to connect with such families and gain their trust. My heart goes out to this much-neglected patient population.
