Support Groups in 80027
Building a community is an essential part of feeling seen, heard, and connected. We desire to have close connections, and yet it's at times very difficult to cultivate these relationships in our busy lives. Establishing trust, and feeling safe to be vulnerable in relationships takes emotional awareness and the practice of being self-compassionate and accepting. This is a group to share our goals and dreams and look at obstacles that may get in the way of having the connections we desire. The group will be educational as well as a place to process feelings, and share experiences.

Therapy is a great place to create more peace inside of yourself. Being able to build deeper connections, resolve conflict patterns, and develop more meaning in your life helps you feel more connected in relationships. This is an essential aspect of our emotional well being. Over the past 29 years, I've helped clients develop relational mindfulness through exploring thoughts, feelings, past traumas, and early attachment patterns. My work is attachment-informed, IFS informed, and I'm trained in the Gottman Method. Together, we'll explore any depression and anxiety issues, and strengthen self- awareness and self -acceptance.
Research suggests that those who struggle with sexual integrity issues have greater treatment outcomes when group therapy is integrated as an adjunct to individual therapy and 12-step work. Group work is a crucial element to recovery that allows for deep relational connection between group members. Addicts have often times been traumatized during childhood years and group interventions provide a safe and supportive environment to process trauma. This group will be limited to 8 participants (men only) and will be first come first serve. Those interested in learning more about this group can simply call or email me for details.

As a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT) and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) trained in IFS, I am absolutely passionate about helping those impacted by sexual integrity issues. I work with "addicted parts" using individual, couple, and group therapy modalities. I am quite aware of relational trauma that partners of sex, porn, and relationship addicts experience, and I compassionately work to guide addicted parts through isolating and shame-filled experiences. My role is to help reduce this shame and systematically get to the root of the addictive and compulsive behaviors that have led to intimacy disorder issues.
This group is for anyone who is interested in looking at who they have been and are being in relationships and dating life and how to be more successful. Core issues tend to revolve around self awareness, determining old patterns, being more real and interdependent vs codependence, successful dating and what that means, determining goals and life vision, how to parent through dating life in most effective manner.

I work with teens 11 and older, as well as individuals, couples, and families, including co-parenting counseling. If your issues are relationship oriented (parent/child, between partners, co-parents, or family related issues), related to phase of life transitions or changes, such as marital crisis, separation, divorce, marriage, remarriage, blending a family, empty nest, co parenting challenges, retirement, and you're looking for a goal-oriented approach to figuring out a pathway through, I can help. We will pinpoint the issues, set goals, get a plan in place, and work together toward positive change.
