The Four Noble Truths of Buddhism and meditation practice has been helpful in recovering from both process and substance addictions. The format of this group includes reading assignments in Buddhist books, a 15 minute meditation, and sharing with the depth of a therapy group one's journey toward letting go and awakening into freedom. Principles of Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction will also be used to guide group members toward greater choice and finding peace and calm in one's heart and mind. Please call Dr. Denise Giblin at 847-347-0753 if you are interested in becoming a member of this beautiful therapy group.
