Natalie Bazarova Ph.D.

Natalie Bazarova, Ph.D., is a professor of communication and director of the Social Media Lab at Cornell University. Her research examines the way people use social media to live, share, and interact online, and its impact on our wellbeing, families, and social relationships. Linking online behavior, impacts, and interventions, she seeks to understand and support a successful integration of digital technologies into families and adolescents' lives. Her current research projects explore bystander intervention and prosocial behaviors online, virtual agents and privacy, social media and mental health, and family communication and technology.
