Michelle Tullier Ph.D.
Michelle Tullier, Ph.D., is a nationally certified career counselor with special expertise in supporting sustained recovery in young adults, experienced professionals, and executives by providing hope and strategies for purposeful work.
Michelle’s proprietary Pack Your Own Launch™ model blends best practices, theory, and research in career development with those of effective recovery. As her own family has been impacted by addiction and co-occurring disorders, Michelle understands the need for tailored career management approaches for those on circuitous personal and professional journeys.
Michelle is a former executive director of the Georgia Tech career center and member of the Honors Program faculty. In prior career consulting and leadership roles with a global outplacement firm, she coached thousands of professionals and executives and developed business with Fortune 100 clients. In 2019, Michelle transitioned into full-time private practice with her firm Tullier Consulting, LLC, which serves clients online globally.
A frequent speaker at professional conferences, Michelle’s topics include career transitions, future of work, social media presence, Gen Z, and the convergence of mental health and recovery with career development. She also facilitates workshops in addiction treatment centers for clinicians, residents, and parents.
Michelle is the author of nine books, including The Idiot's Guide to Overcoming Procrastination (Alpha/Simon & Schuster, 2012) and the Unofficial Guide to Landing a Job (Wiley, 2005). She is on the board of the Georgia Career Development Association, a member of the Maine Career Development Association, and an Associate Editor of the National Career Development Association (NCDA) magazine Career Convergence, and a member of the Forbes Coaches Council.
She earned her Ph.D. in counseling psychology at UCLA and B.A. in psychology at Wellesley College. Michelle holds the credentials of Certified Career Counselor from NCDA and Certified Professional Resume Writer from Professional Association of Resume Writers & Career Coaches, and she is a trained LGBTQ+ ally.
