Marcia Reynolds Psy.D.

Marcia Reynolds, Psy.D., President of Covisioning LLC, is fascinated by the brain, especially what triggers feelings of connection, commitment, and possibility. She has trained and coached leaders in 41 countries and has presented at the Harvard Kennedy School, Cornell University, Smith College, Almaty Management University in Kazakhstan and The National Research University in Moscow.

Dr. Reynolds is a pioneer in the coaching profession. She was one of the first members and the 5th global president of the International Coach Federation. She is also a past president of the Association for Coach Training Organizations. She is the Training Director for the Healthcare Coaching Institute in North Carolina and is also on faculty for coaching schools in Russia, China, the Philippines, and India. She is recognized by the Global Gurus as the #5 coach in the world.

Her training experience dates to 1981 when she was hired to work in a training department for a hospital corporation. Her first major assignment was to deliver a comprehensive management program to all clinical and ancillary staff leaders. Ten years later, her greatest success came from designing the employee development program for a global semiconductor manufacturing company facing bankruptcy. Within three years, the company turned around and became the #1 stock market success in 1993.

Marcia has been a student and researcher of how humans learn since earning her second master’s degree is adult education in 1986 (her first master’s degree was in broadcast communications). She became fascinated with emotional intelligence after reading Daniel Goleman’s book in 1996 and designed a training program that integrates emotional choice with leadership presence, communications effectiveness, and life satisfaction. She has since taught her programs for many agencies of the National Institutes of Health, multi-national corporations around the world, and for coaching schools in Europe and Asia.

In pursuit of learning more, Marcia earned her doctorate is in organizational psychology in 2008.
