Anthony Tobia, M.D.

Having trained in a dual residency in Internal Medicine and Psychiatry at West Virginia University, Anthony Tobia, M.D., currently holds titles of Professor of Psychiatry and Clinical Professor of Internal Medicine at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. Dr. Tobia has dual appointments with the Division of Internal Medicine and Department of Psychiatry where he serves as the Director of Undergraduate Medical Education and Associate Program Director of General Psychiatry Residency Training. Dr. Tobia is also certified by the Board of Psychosomatic Medicine/Consultation Psychiatry and is currently the Director of the Division of Consultation Psychiatry at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital/Barnabas Health.

Dr. Tobia’s academic interests include various innovative teaching approaches integrating popular culture, social media (@ATobiaMD, @Dr_Gram675), and psychiatry including several that are registered in the Office of Research Commercialization at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.
