Alan S. Rockoff M.D., F.A.A.D.

Dr. Rockoff attended Yeshiva College and the Albert Einstein College of Medicine.  After completing a residency in Pediatrics at the Bronx Municipal Hospital Center, he served as Assistant Chief of Pediatrics at Mount Sinai Hospital in Hartford, Connecticut.  He then studied Dermatology in Boston, at the combined Tufts University/Boston University residency program, starting the practice of Dermatology in 1979.  He is Assistant Clinical Professor of Dermatology at Tufts University School of Medicine, and has offered a month-long Dermatology elective for senior medical students since 1981.  For the last 15 years he has written a monthly column, "Under My Skin," in Skin & Allergy News, a magazine for practicing dermatologists.  His first book, published in 2011, was Under My Skin: A Dermatologist Looks His Profession And His Patients.  His next book, Act Like a Doctor, Think Like a Patient is forthcoming.  He lives in Newton, Massachusetts with his wife Shulamit.  They have 3 children and 10 grandchildren (so far...)
