Sebnem Ture M.Sc.
Sebnem Ture, M.Sc., is a Ph.D. candidate in the Personality, Development, and Health program at Northwestern University, where she works with Professor Dan McAdams, the founder of narrative identity. Her research explores how individual differences, shaped by cultural and historical contexts, influence psychological health through personal narratives. Additionally, she collaborates with Professor Claudia Haase at the School of Education and Social Policy, studying emotion regulation and well-being in the context of social relationships. Ture is also actively involved in nonprofit organizations dedicated to promoting the well-being of older adults in the Chicagoland area.
Before joining Northwestern, Ture earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Bilkent University in Turkey, graduating as the top student in her class. She then moved to the U.S. to pursue her master’s and doctoral studies. Alongside her academic work, she has a deep passion for media, with experience as a radio host and a writer for several local newspapers.
