Sandra M. Chafouleas, Ph.D., is a licensed psychologist with specialty training in school psychology and expertise in education settings and child development with an emphasis on social, emotional, and behavioral domains. She is co-creator of the award-winning Feel Your Best Self toolkit, which brings credibility, accessibility, creativity, and joy to learning about emotion-coping. As a scholar, her primary foci include social, emotional, and behavioral promotion and risk; evaluating responsiveness to supports critical to learning, health, and well-being; and understanding influences on use of particular strategies. She regularly serves as a national presenter and invited speaker, and has received awards including an American Psychological Association Presidential citation. She is a Distinguished Professor in the Neag School of Education, and co-director of the Collaboratory on School and Child Health, at the University of Connecticut.
