Ryan P. Brown Ph.D.
Ryan P. Brown, Ph.D., is a social psychologist and author of Honor Bound: How a Cultural Ideal Has Shaped the American Psyche. He has published scientific studies on phenomena as diverse as stereotype threat, narcissism, forgiveness, and ethical decision-making. His current research investigates the social dynamics of “honor cultures” and the role of honor ideology in the lives of Americans. Brown is managing director for measurement at Rice University's Doerr Institute for New Leaders.
