Russell Clayton Ph.D.


Russell Clayton, Ph.D., is an instructor in the Muma College of Business at the University of South Florida. His research has been published in the Harvard Business Review and has been covered in outlets including NBC News, Fox News, and Fast Company. He writes about the benefits of applying "soft skills" — which he likes to refer to as "power skills" — to work and personal life. His most recent book is Balancing Life: Seven Strategies That Can Help You Achieve Work-Life Balance.

Clayton's contributions in the classroom have been recognized with the “Mid-Career Distinguished Educator Award" by the Management & Organizational Behavior Teaching Society. He earned his Ph.D. in business administration with a doctoral minor in psychology from the University of Mississippi.
