Patricia Harney Ph.D.
Patricia Harney, Ph.D., is Assistant Professor of Psychology in Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School. She is Director of Psychology Internship Training at Cambridge Health Alliance, and maintains a psychotherapy practice in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Her academic and popular writing focuses on trauma, loss and grief, marginalized identities, and creativity/resilience. Her essays have appeared in Slate, Dorothy Parker's Ashes, and WBUR's CommonHealth Blog. A graduate of Grub Street-Boston's MFA-level course, Memoir Incubator, she is at work on a memoir entitled, Grief in the Margins.
