Nina Ahuja, M.D., is a surgeon, author, award-winning educator, and healthcare leader with over 20 years of experience. She works with leaders and executives in healthcare and corporate sectors to unlock their potential, optimize mental performance, manage stress, and lead with clarity and confidence while fostering inclusion and well-being.

In 2019, Dr. Ahuja founded Docs in Leadership to deliver innovative programs that integrate emotional intelligence and neuroscience-based strategies. The programs equip leaders with actionable tools to navigate high-stakes environments, foster inclusive work cultures, and drive meaningful advocacy. Her memoir, Stress in Medicine: Lessons Learned Through My Years as a Surgeon, from Med School to Residency, and Beyond, features her framework.

An advocate for healthcare, Dr. Ahuja represented the Canadian Ophthalmological Society before the Canadian Senate during deliberations on Bill C-284, successfully advocating for a national eye-care strategy. Outside her professional endeavors, Dr. Ahuja is a happily married “bonus mom” who enjoys sketching, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
