Mira Brancu, Ph.D.
Dr. Mira Brancu is a writer, speaker, and consultant who helps leaders navigate large, complex organizations and help organizations make it easier for leaders to navigate. With over 20 years of experience as a counselor, psychologist, researcher, leader, and consultant in large, complex organizations, she applies psychological principles to help leaders address some of the most challenging leadership and management situations, including strategically and intentionally building effective teams, resolving stressful conflicts, delivering important messages, exerting influence, developing a resilient leadership mindset, and managing at all levels. She has a special passion for helping emerging and under-represented women in leadership roles. Her book, Millennials' Guide to Workplace Politics, focuses on helping emerging leaders learn to expertly navigate complex systems.
Dr. Brancu is the Founder and CEO of Brancu & Associates, a leadership, team, and organizational development consulting company. She currently also serves as a Senior Organizational Development Psychologist for the Department of Veterans Affairs, an Associate Professor at Duke University, and an Associate Editor of the Consulting Psychology Journal. She has a Ph.D. in clinical psychology, a Master’s degree in counseling, and certificates in business essentials; diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace; Lean Six Sigma; and Transformational and Mentor Coaching. She received the 2020 Early Career Woman Psychologist in Management Award from the Society of Psychologists in Management.
In her spare time, she volunteers and serves on several non-profit boards focused on supporting underserved women along the spectrum of financial stability and success, from transition out of homelessness and underemployment to advancing their careers and growing their businesses to their highest potential. She loves weight training, audiobooks and podcasts on business and leadership, and finding new places to eat with her husband and two kids.
