Marcia Morris, M.D., is a psychiatrist with Talkiatry, a telehealth company. She is the author of The Campus Cure: A Parent’s Guide to Mental Health and Wellness for College Students. She provided psychiatric care to students at the University of Florida for over 30 years. A mother of two adult children herself, she promotes preventive care and improved treatment for mental illness in the college years. Her articles have been published in The New York Times, the Tampa Bay Times, and The Conversation, and she has appeared on NPR and several podcasts.

Dr. Morris is an expert in college mental health who has given talks on college mental health to local and national groups. She has previous leadership roles in the Association for College Psychiatry and the National Network of Depression Centers College Mental Health Task Group. She is a member of the American Psychiatric Association College Mental Health caucus. Her research articles on college student depression, anxiety, and psychiatric medication use have appeared in the Journal of American College Health and the Journal of Affective Disorders. Dr. Morris received her AB degree from Harvard College, her medical degree from Yale School of Medicine, and her psychiatry residency training from New York Hospital Cornell Medical Center Westchester Division.
