Mallory Frayn Ph.D.

About

Dr. Mallory Frayn is a clinical psychologist and founder of Impulse Psychology, a private practice in Montreal, Canada. She obtained her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from McGill University, completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship with Drexel University, and is currently registered as a psychologist in Quebec. In her practice, she works with individuals, couples, and groups who struggle with impulse-related concerns. Whether it be disordered eating or emotion dysregulation, her aim is to help clients to develop healthier relationships with food and emotion. Throughout her doctoral studies and at present, she has written extensively on topics related to food, eating, and emotions, for publications across Canada. On Psychology Today, her blog, “Eat, Think, and Be Merry,” is a space to explore all aspects of eating and weight-related concerns, debunking myths perpetuated by diet culture and getting back to basics so that food and eating don’t have to be a struggle. After all, we have to eat to survive, so we might as well enjoy it.
