Leah Aguirre, LCSW, is a California native and currently practices in San Diego, CA. Leah is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and has been practicing as a psychotherapist for over 10 years, working primarily with individuals who have experienced childhood trauma, abusive relationships, and other forms of complex trauma. She is certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), an evidence-based practice that is used to address trauma, PTSD, and other anxiety disorders. She is the author of Is This Really Love? and The Girl’s Guide to Relationships, Sexuality and Consent. Leah is the co-owner of Cove Counseling Group, a group practice offering inclusive, trauma-informed individual therapy. Leah specializes in supporting individuals navigating or leaving abusive and unhealthy relationships and dating from a place of empowerment and authenticity. Leah is passionate about women’s mental health and wellness. Her goal and mission is to help women overcome trauma and develop true self-love and acceptance.
