Kate Engler, LMFT, CST, is a licensed couples and sex therapist, Fair Play facilitator, and Gen Xer based in the Chicago area. A member of the first Fair Play facilitator cohort ever trained, she holds master's degrees in family counseling and social science education and specializes in relationship therapy and Creative Relationship Redesign. Her work has been featured in TIME, Newsweek, SELF, Bustle, Insider, and Scary Mommy, and her piece in the midlife women's publication The Midst was a top-five read of 2024. She is also a featured expert in Everything to Everybody (Hachette) by Boston Globe journalist Kara Baskin. Engler is currently completing GenXO, a book exploring how the cultural and political forces that shaped Gen X set them up for specific relationship challenges—and what to do about them. She owns and practices at Three Points Relationships in the Chicago area.
