Julia Leonard Ph.D.
Julia Leonard, Ph.D., is an assistant professor in the Department of Psychology at Yale. Dr. Leonard's research explores the factors that support both children’s approach to learning and their capacity to learn. Her research uses tools from cognitive science, developmental psychology, and neuroscience, and focuses on early childhood and educational implications. Dr. Leonard's work has appeared in outlets such as Science, Psychological Science, and Child Development and her research has been funded by the NSF graduate student research fellowship, a University of Pennsylvania MindCore fellowship, and the Jacobs Foundation Research Fellowship. Dr. Leonard received her B.A. in Neuroscience and Behavior from Wesleyan University, her Ph.D. in Cognitive Science from MIT, and completed a MindCore postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania.
