José Luis Bermúdez, Ph.D., is a philosopher and cognitive scientist who is the Samuel Rhea Gammon Professor of Liberal Arts at Texas A&M University. Educated at St Paul’s School, London, and King’s College, Cambridge, his books include The Paradox of Self-Consciousness, Thinking without Words, Understanding “I”, The Bodily Self, and the best-selling textbook Cognitive Science: An Introduction to the Science of the Mind. His most recent book is Frame It Again: New Tools for Rational Decision-Making.
