Joel Salinas M.D.
Joel Salinas, M.D., is a clinical associate professor of Neurology at the NYU Grossman School of Medicine, and was previously faculty at Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital, serving as clinical director of the McCance Center for Brain Health. He is the Founder and Chief Medical Officer of Isaac Health, a telehealth service that focuses on brain health and dementia, and a behavioral neurologist and writer with expertise in clinical approaches to brain health. Salinas has led research on the psychosocial determinants of brain health, authored more than 50 academic papers, and contributed to eight books on neurology. His work has been featured in the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and Forbes. He is also the author of Mirror Touch: A Memoir of Synesthesia and the Secret Life of the Brain, and co-author, with Robert Bordone, of the book Conflict Resilience: Negotiating Disagreement Without Giving Up or Giving In.
