Jill Schulman USMC, MAPP
Jill Schulman, USMC, MAPP, is a former U.S. Marine Corps officer, bravery expert, and principal and CEO of Breakthrough Leadership Group. She holds a Master’s in Applied Positive Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania and is the author of The Bravery Effect, a science-based guide to living with greater courage, meaning, and impact.
Jill Schulman helps individuals build the skill of everyday bravery by applying insights from positive, applied, and developmental psychology, along with principles from behavior change science. Drawing from research and real-world practice, she provides practical tools to help people move through fear, make bold decisions, and develop a braver, more empowered identity over time.
Through her writing, speaking, and applied work, Jill challenges outdated self-help narratives that prioritize comfort over growth. Her work demonstrates that bravery isn’t an innate trait—it’s a skill that can be developed through consistent, intentional practice.
