Jennifer Uhrlass, LMFT, is the founder of Modern Marriage & Family Therapy, PLLC, (Modern MFT) a private practice in Midtown Manhattan/Upstate NY with a focus on relationship health and emotional well-being. Jennifer strives to normalize relationship issues and facilitate gentle exploration and personal reflection on the topic of relationship satisfaction with the aim of helping you to feel better equipped when navigating the common pitfalls of intimate relationships.

Since 2014, Jennifer has operated her Manhattan location of Modern MFT, where she specializes in helping individuals and couples to develop and cultivate more satisfying and joyful intimate relationships. Modern MFT has since expanded its scope and now also provides services to individuals and partners throughout NY, NJ, CT, and FL.

As an experienced LMFT, Jennifer has shared her insights on nurturing connection and meaningful relationships as a guest speaker at the New York American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy and as a panelist at Compass Real Estate in NYC. Through her thoughtful yet direct therapeutic approach, her work aims to address previous wounds and help strengthen the self in order to cultivate more caring, responsive, and mutually fulfilling adult relationships.

Jennifer holds a Master’s degree from Syracuse University. She completed advanced clinical training in Emotionally Focused Therapy, the Gottman Method, and postgraduate education at the Ackerman Institute for the Family in New York City.
