Jannine D. Lasaleta Ph.D.
Jannine D. Lasaleta, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor of Marketing at Sy Syms School of Business at Yeshiva University. Prior to joining the faculty at Yeshiva, she was an Assistant Professor of Marketing at Grenoble École de Management. Jannine has a B.A. in Psychology from the University of British Columbia, an M.A. in Social Psychology from York University, and a Ph.D. in Marketing from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota.
Jannine’s research expertise focuses on how nostalgia affects consumer attitudes, behaviors, and choices across varying contexts (e.g., politics, health). She also examines the motivation for money, product choice, and hedonic consumption. Her research has been published in the Journal of Consumer Research, Journal of Marketing Research, and Personality and Social Psychology Bulletin, and has been featured in multiple media outlets such as BBC, CNN, Fortune, Huffington Post, NBC's Today Show, Harper's Bazaar, Fast Company, and Forbes.
Prior to her position as a professor, Jannine had been a radio station hip-hop music director, music writer, and competitive powerlifter.
