Dr. Jagpreet Chhatwal is an associate professor at Harvard Medical School and Director of Institute for Technology Assessment at Massachusetts General Hospital. He uses data science to inform health policies that confront some of the nation’s most urgent public health challenges, including the opioid and alcohol use crises and the growing mental health epidemic. Dr. Chhatwal has published more than 130 peer-reviewed studies, and his research has been featured in major media outlets such as CNN, Forbes, NPR, The New York Times, and The Wall Street Journal. His work has also guided decision-making at the White House, multiple state health departments, and the World Health Organization.
