About

Evan Shopper, LICSW, is a psychotherapist in private practice who specializes in working with young children, adolescents, and their parents. He’s also the creator of the website Deep Dive Parenting.

For years, Evan has run workshops for parents of toddlers and preschoolers, as well as taught court-mandated co-parenting classes for never-married parents who are splitting up. In addition to his private practice, he is a Supervising Clinician, supervising new therapists as they meet their state licensing requirements.

Evan holds a Master's in Social Work (MSW) from the Smith College School of Social Work and a Master's in Fine Arts (MFA) from the University of Iowa Writers’ Workshop in Fiction. He is a published writer and, for many years before becoming a therapist, taught creative writing as Visiting Faculty at The Evergreen State College (Olympia, WA).

Evan lives in Western Massachusetts and is the father of two kids he thinks are amazing.
