Black Mental Health Graduate Academy
The Black Mental Health Graduate Academy, developed in 2015 under the auspices of William James College’s (WJC) Center for Multicultural and Global Mental Health, represents WJC’s commitment to decreasing racial/ethnic disparities by diversifying the mental health workforce and advocating for historically underserved groups. The Academy—a leadership and mentorship pipeline program directed by Dr. Natalie A. Cort—is designed to recruit, mentor, and support Academy Scholars: Black graduate students in WJC’s Master’s and Doctoral degree programs for mental health counseling and psychology.
