Ashley Andreou
Ashley Andreou is originally from Vancouver, Canada, and is currently a medical student pursuing psychiatry at Georgetown University, where she is also a Health Justice Scholar. Before coming to Georgetown, she earned her M.P.H. in health policy from Yale School of Public Health. She was a Global Health Justice Scholar at Yale Law School, where her research focused on the role of gender in FDA approvals as well as the effects of policing, hypervigilance, and heightened cortisol levels on Black American men’s health outcomes. She hopes to leverage the symbiosis of psychiatry, advocacy, and policy to improve the lives of patients and contribute to system-wide reform.
