Alli Spotts-De Lazzer, LMFT, LPCC, Certified Eating Disorders Specialist (CEDS), and CEDS-Approved Consultant, is the author of MeaningFULL: 23 Life-Changing Stories of Conquering Dieting, Weight, and Body Image Issues (2021), lead author of My Child Has an Eating Disorder: An Essential Guide for Parents of Kids, Teens, and Adults (2026), and contributor to Body Image and Self-Esteem (2024). She practices as a Marriage and Family Therapist in both California and Tennessee. Her public advocacy efforts also include designing social media literacy content and creating the nationally recognized #ShakeIt for Self-Acceptance!—a mental health initiative providing education through dance.
Dedicated to professional advancement, she has published in academic journals, developed eating disorders training curricula for the national CEDS designation, taught at major conferences and graduate schools, and held leadership roles with professional associations. Her contributions have been honored by the City of Los Angeles, the International Association for Eating Disorders Professionals, and the American Psychiatric Association.
