This is a great article, Michael, and I resonate with its message. It's refreshing to come across a psychological model that recognizes the Divinity within us instead of viewing human nature as a gestalt of essentially soulless mechanisms, which seems to be where much Western psychological thinking tends towards.
It seems to me that, of all the world-renowned religions, Buddhism most clearly embraces the truth that the reality we experience has its source within us, rather than being thrust upon us from the world outside. As you point out here, personal responsibility is the key to moving through our challenges and reactions and not perpetuating them.
