stress/abuse can physically change the brain? I have slides of the brain's changes after verbal abuse (alone).
I have often said that I should be dead by now, because everytime we are under stress, the body releases cortisol, and cortisol damages our immune system.
I grew up physically and verbally abused and then abused in a 31-year "marriage" of the same.
