This is a very important article. I just had to leave a phone message for a doctor in a different state so he understands his practice is unethical. It is sad, but committed writers inspire me (and others) to write about genital mutilation in different genres; research, creative, etc. Like another poster said, the only real problem is that the tragedy exists enough to require articles to end it.
