This was a great article to read and I think everyone should have a basic knowledge of how to comfort others and such. Erm, I have a question though. See I have social anxiety disorder so I'm not exactly the best when it comes to social interactions and stuff. When you say to convey things how do you mean? Like for example when you say to convey what happened to them from their perspective; so we're just supposed to reiterate what they said? That sounds slightly redundant, no? Like in my mind I'm picturing something like this:
"My unicorn just died! I loved Sparklehorn so much!! He was my best friend!" *sobs*
"Yes, Sparklehorn died and was a close friend."
Y'know what I mean? Yes I'm addressing this in a goofy manner but it is a serious question.
