Joy is definitely not one size fits all - it varies between and within individuals. I find that different activities vary for me day to day, even hour to hour! I like to think of these ideas as a menu of options -- and then you can personalize this menu just for you.

You mention calming the mind -- for some people this could mean taking a few minutes to meditate, doing something more creative (engaging the right brain), or journaling.
