i wonder if you could clarify one specific point.
you're very clear that the goal of meditation is not to stop thinking.
i find this confusing as that is exactly what i've been working so hard at.
i try to focus on my breath and stillness to the exclusion of all else - to in effect - stop thinking.
i've actually gotten pretty darn good at it.
so i'm somewhat dismayed to learn i've been barking up the wrong tree.
is one supposed to think or not think?
