This article is poorly researched. Yes, alcohol can cause withdrawal. Yes, benzos can cause withdrawal. Being a pain pill addict myself, (at a very high dose) can I tell you that my withdrawals ever amounted near death. I think most addicts are pussies, pardon my french, and they rush themselves to the emergency room because they have flu-like symptoms. What a joke. All you do is lay in bed for 3 days with hot flashes and flu-like symptoms. I've never even puked coming off of opiates. I would love to see someone write this article that has actually lived through it. It's not fun, but never near death. The only time death occurs is when people start mixing alcohol, opiates and benzos. Xanax is the worst.
