My sense of current parenting is perfectly stated here. How do we handle this with 4 children? In regards to play, at some point I just had to trust that they would be kept safe and allowed them the freedom to be children. Certainly not a popular standard. School, I took into my hands, for many of the stated reasons plus others. Homeschool was the best option to avoid the dreaded school. My first two will finish in traditional school, but didn't have it in me to finish it all the Way through with a better option for our family. Not looking back, regaining control over or family time is priceless!!
Trustful parenting is thrown off course, in various ways, when fear prevails.
For most people human rights have increased, but for children they have shrunk.
Some problems can be solved best by taking a break from trying to solve them.
