I resent the suggest that depression can be alleviated by "havin' a little faith " and how do you know there are no atheists in proverbial foxholes? Whilst I acknowledge that the Believer is by definition unlikely to experience existential angst and circumvent that black hole of depression, it is unfair and irresponsible to suggest that faith could "fix" your depression. To anyone who is suffering, don't cease any medications suddenly as the side effects may be severe , speak to a therapist - a qualified doctor - and always call emergency services if you feel you are suicidal.
