"Trust" is not "couple privilege." Couple privilege is the assumption that the couple comes first, that the couple is the only 'real' relationship, that as long as the couple stays together whatever else happens is okay, that new relationships will never be on the same level as the couple...in short, that everyone other than that couple is expendable.
