The comment must have really thrown you, especially since it was ‘your‘ default, professional look that you knew worked and also made you feel good? I guess it doesn't stop anyone commenting (even from a knee jerk reaction) but all the same it is interesting that appearance can have a effect on people. In this case, it bounced back to you!
