I haven't liked talking on the phone, it could because that I'm an introvert. So, emailing friends and family suits me. We do talk with our kids and grandkids on the phone, though.
I do like meeting friends for lunch or dinner, there are those who can't seem to stop checking their cells. This problem is affecting older people also.
I have noticed that when talking to the young wait staff at a restaurant, they seen enthusiastic with engaging with us. They might find it a pleasant novelty.
