Four months into my break up with a PA, I now look back and realize how many warning signs I saw but ignored bc I liked her and wanted her to like me. We met thru mutual karaoke friends. 3 yrs ago I asked if we could do that Stevie Nicks duet with Tom Petty. I gave her the CD where it sat in the dresser for 3 yrs. After the split, ran into her at karaoke where she did new songs (not that one).
I knew that had I decided to do it with someone else she would have been livid. A sense of double standards seemed to permeate our relationship & not being the confrontational type I didn't call her on it until it was too late. Won't make that mistake again.
