If any greater understanding of the causes of BPD or if any improved, more effective treatments can be developed for Borderline PD using animal models, then that would be great. My younger sister and I suffered greatly due to our mother’s moderate Borderline PD condition, but she wouldn’t attend any treatment for it until rather late in her life, and then only sporadically. Mother had been first diagnosed in her early 40s but would not accept the diagnosis or get treatment. If a new type of neurological treatment or medication could help with moderating or controlling the symptoms of Borderline PD, it would help so many sufferers and their loved ones.
