I agree completely. Although, I would add, that some of the most vociferous opponents to women controlling their own sexuality are other women. This is not surprising to anyone who studies biology, but it tends to jar with the rather superficial "men vrs women" narrative that is very common in th epublic sphere.
To take just one example--the recent presidency was overwhelmingly supported by women (white women, at any rate) and the promise of rolling back abortion rights was a large and noisy element of that support.
